The Athens County Board of Elections conducted its Official Recount April 5, 2008.
The Official Recount canvass resulted in a tie vote in the race
for the Democratic nomination for County Commissioner between
Charlie Adkins and James Pancake and the race for Glouster 1 Republican
Precinct Committee Person between Fred Cavey and Ralph Coey.
The tie votes were decided by a flip of the coin during the OFFICIAL COUNT held on
March 27, 2008 with James Pancake winning the Democratic nomination for County Commissioner
and Fred Cavey winning the race for Glouster 1 Republican Precinct Committee Person.
The Athens County Board of Elections conducted its Official canvass
